I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology & English from Willamette University and my Masters of Social Work from Arizona State University. I have worked with children as young as 4, and in recent years have focused my practice on working with teens and adults who have survived trauma. I have completed training in and draw my therapeutic approach from EMDR/Attachment-Focused EMDR, Sand Tray Play, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral skills (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance & Commitment (ACT), and Solution-Focused therapies. Additionally, I have training in sex trafficking awareness and recovery, Motivational Interviewing and various trauma and play therapy trainings.

As a clinical supervisor, I enjoy having a small number of supervisees who are passionate about discovering trauma work. I believe in a client-centered approach to treatment and consider each client's unique environmental, biological, psychological and sociological needs. I value a strengths-based perspective and believe in recognizing each client's experiences and resiliency within the therapeutic space.

When I’m not working as a therapist, I enjoy exploring the great PNW with family and friends! I also love playing board games, re-reading my favorite books, painting, and occasionally binge watching tv shows. I look forward to welcoming you into our space!

Aimee Halley, CSWA

I am a licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) in the state of Oregon. I received my Master of Social Work from Baylor University with a clinical specialization and concentration in trauma-informed practice. My experience includes internships here at Evergreen and Carson’s Village, a nonprofit bereavement organization. I work with couples, adults, and teens, using a person-in-environment lens that considers the interconnected roles of individual and environmental factors in mental health and overall well-being.

My approach integrates theories from Attachment, Neuropsychology, and Psychodynamic frameworks, tailoring treatment plans to the unique needs of clients. I draw on a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’ve completed specialized training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels I and II), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Beyond Attachment Styles: The Science of Growing Secure Adult Relationships, which focuses on understanding and healing attachment patterns.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent several decades teaching high school English. I hold a B.A. in Literature and Language Arts Teaching from George Fox University and an M.A. in Teaching Secondary English from the University of Southern California. This foundation in education informs my therapeutic work, especially in understanding how people learn, communicate, and make sense of their experiences. When not practicing, I enjoy spending time with family (especially our baby granddaughters) and traveling with my husband. My priority in therapy is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported. I look forward to helping you access that space here at Evergreen.
